Hello Everyone! I need some help and it will be deeply appreciated.

I'm building my first PC and I decided to get the Gskill RGB 16 GB F4-3600C18D-16GTZR.

I'm pairing this with the AMD Ryzen 5 3600, I heard there is a Model with a X at the end which is for AMD Compatibility. F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX.

FOr me its very difficult to return this product, will there be any issue with me using the above ram?

Thank you!

I'm pairing it with the MSI Tomahawk Max, when I searched for compatibility I noticed they have the one with X at the end but not the F4-3600C18D-16GTZR itself.

My Primary goal is to get this ram to 3600 now I'm not sure If I will able to achieve this.

If I remember correctly this was way more important at launch of the Ryzen series when motherboards didn't support as many RAM modules. I highly doubt you would have an issue with this.

Worst case, you may not be able to achieve 3600mhz. May have to settle for 3200, but I doubt you would ever notice a difference anyway between those two.

I would try it out if you have already ordered it. More than likely with that motherboard you will have no issues achieving 3600.

ask me about my homelab
