Currently I am using the i5 7600k. I'm switching to the R5 3600 within this week. I've read that when switching between intel to AMD or vice versa a clean windows install is reccomended for stability.
My question is, i already have windows installed on my M.2 drive currently, do I just install the M.2 onto the new AM4 MOBO and reset windows to factory mode? Or do i need to wipe windows off my M.2 first then reinstall using a USB boot drive, if so how do i actually wipe my windows from my M.2 drive? Or does installing windows with USB boot drive automatically wipe the previous version and does a fresh install?

Install your m.2 into the amd pc and then boot from the usb. Delete all partitions on it and let the installer run it's course.

If you have other drives in the system I advice you to temporarily detach them.
