so i finally got my laptop apart (sony vaio) and i decided to clean it a bit (pretty dusty)

 

and then i decided i should redo the thermal past, cleaned the cpu of and then looked at the gpu and the thermal paste there as damn near all over those micro transistor resistor things (cant remember)

 

is this bad?

i tried cleaning it off but i feel if i boot it up its going to die

any help is appcreiateed

Just don't boot up the computer. Check if your thermal paste is conductive if it is then you should use some Q tips and some isopropyl alcohol, try and carefully remove all the paste. Then just leave the computer overnight and try and then try and boot it up. If the thermal paste is non conductive then it should be fine but I still recommend cleaning off the thermal paste because it looks messy. Good luck!
