CRT to LCD conversion

So I have an old CRT TV from Bang & Olufsen so the sound is really good, but the image quality is quite lacking as its from 1994. Then I got the bright idea to just throw in an LCD panel and somehow hookup the builtin speakers to that. Does anyone have any experience/tips/recommendations for this process? Or does anyone know if it's even at all possible? Obviously I will not be using the old inputs after the conversion.

You could build your own speakers with them but i dont think it's worth the hassle.
