Need help choosing some RAM to upgrade a pre-built.

Go to solution Solved by TetraSky,

It's DDR4, just get any 2x8GB kit. Don't bother trying to reuse your existing RAM stick, it will work, but won't be as good as a whole kit made to work in dual channel.

I want to upgrade the family computer which happens to use this specific type of RAM: 8GB 1RxS PC4 2400T UA2 11 from SK hynix.

It seems to have a lot in common with this other DIMM. But one is designated as "UA2" and the other "RDO". Although only a minor difference I hear RAM DIMM's are rather finicky and sometimes wont wor'k when together.

Thanks in advance for the help.
