Ram slots dead ????

Did you try resetting bios? Maybe some fluke accident settings screwed up.

 

Unlikely but possible perhaps the memcontroller in the cpu went out? Was the cpu oc'ed with custom voltages?

Do you have multiple ram sticks? The slots work in an order so if you only have 1 stick it will only work in the mobo's first slot (can be any of them it's indicated in the manual and/or on the board). If you only have 1 stick chances are that one is causing the issues.
