Hello all.

I have recently installed an AIO in my System (Corsair H100x 240mm) and for the purposes of  Athletics and because I want my fans to run at full RPM I have plugged the two Radiator fans into my Fan hub included in the back of my case.

Before continuing, it is worth noting two things:

1: The Fans I am using are the Corsair SP120's as opposed to the AF120's which come with the H100x. This is for aesthetics reasons but also because as per Corsairs Own Advice, the SP120's are best for Radiators and Heatsinks, the AF120's are better for Case airflow.

2: SP120's are Three pin as opposed to the 4 pin AF120's.

3: After  some testing with my original Aircooler, I have determined when the fans are plugged into the CPU Fan header, even when the CPU is 70+ Degrees (very Rarely) the CPU fan header can only max the SP120 fans out at ~1500RPM as opposed to the ~2400RPM they're advertised as being able to do. I was able to work this out using monitoring software (NZXT CAM) and visuals from looking at the other SP120's I have installed on the case.

Upon booting up my PC, I am greeted with the "CPU Fan Error". I have since resolved this by temporarily plugging a fan into the CPU fan header and standing it up loose in the case.

My Question is as follows to you all:

Is there anyway to stop this error from popping up every time in the motherboard Bios or is there a Hack which will allow me a way around this issue?

Many Thanks,

Millsy

Yes, you can. Look for a setting called 'Wait for F1 If Error', 'CPU Fan Check' or something similar and disable it.

The H100x comes with SP series fans but they're identical to the AF series for the 2018 Edition.

They also only go up to 1700rpm. Where'd you read 2400rpm? Did you check out your fan settings?

I have taken a look online on corsairs website, please see below: image.png.7f17ebce80c26509c8d9fd141e3321cb.png

SP120 PE's are older. The variant included with the H100x is similar to the new 2018 Editions but is likely a cooler-specific version with a different rpm.

The Older PE's are the ones I swapped them out for. Bought them off of amazon in the dual pack.

Got to say, 40-45 degrees under load is very impressive in comparison to the 70 it was before.

The Fans which came with my H100X were AF120's which are now mounted at the front of my case as intakes.

I retract this statement, they are SP120's that spin up to 1700rpm and look like AF120's lol. My bad.
