galaxy s8

Hi everyone

I was wondering if there are any drivers for galaxy s8 if I want to install linux distribution (64-bit and desktop version) on the device? or any phone you know?

Also, how to reply thank you on your comments?

I am a little confused here.

If your asking if Drivers exist for Linux to connect your phone, then yes.

If you are looking to put Linux on your phone, then no.

If your looking for a phone that runs Linux out of the box, Pine Phone Is probably as good as you are gonna get. Don't expect it to run Mobile apps or compete with anything like a Galaxy S8. Overall it would be on par with a mid tier or entry level Android device without google or app support. At this point, Linux Phones are more of a playground than a daily driver, as such, you should also expect it to be buggy.

If you want to experiment, there is Ubuntu Touch. You can find a list of compatible devices here. https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/

You may have better results with this, Just keep your expectations low.
