If I put 2 gtx 780 lightning into a 16x and 8x slot and sli them, can I get full potential or will I be bottle necked? By board only has a TOTAL of 32x that can be spread apart 4 graphics cards slots

Yes. The #x doesnt matter with monitors just if the cards will be bottlenecked by the slot. Neither does refresh rate. They will perform the same.

Also if you use 2 GPU's, it runs at 16X for both slots, it only divides to 8X & 4X if you have more then 2, one GPU can do 16X the other two are 8X and then 4X for all 4 GPU's at once IIRC.

 

But this is dependant on the motherboard I think.
