What is the difference between Samsung HDR tech?

My family is looking to get a new TV and I was wondering what the difference between Samsungs Quantum HDR, Quantum HDR 12X, and Quantum HDR 16X is. Everything I have found says they are the exact same thing, but why would they have 3 different names for the same thing on the same series of tvs?
