Linking Minecraft servers

Heya,

 

Ive been wondering, a couple of buddy's of mine have been hosting a minecraft server But over here the lag is awful. I was wondering if it would be possible if I put the server on my server over here, is there a plugin that would link the two servers so the same updates happen on both servers? If not, would there be a way for me to program it, i have thought about it a little but idk what information can get sent between servers.

I'm pretty sure Minecraft server does not support such clustering. There are barely any game servers that support such thing. Clustering is a really difficult thing to achieve and once you do, there are so many possible ways for it to break.
