Cannot get custom keymap to work on mac os

I'm having problems getting my 60% keyboard to work on mac os.

I've used VIA to set up a custom keymap, and all of it works except for the right shift key, which I attempted to remap as the up arrow.

I suspect this may have something to do with the keyboard configuration wizard, but deleting the preferences file under Library/Preferences did not seem to work.

Anyone know what to do?
