I remember back before all this mantle stuff came out I was getting over 100 fps constant on stock clock speeds with bf4. Since the mantle patches and updating drivers I'm barely getting 70fps with it dipping to 40fps frequently. I have a gtx 780 +62mv +140% power. +170mhz core clock bringing it to 1190mhz core and boost clock. +500mhz memory clock 1752mhz. My usage when running bf4? 40-60% there is no excuse as to why I am getting poor frame rate except for dice bs patches.

Any one else had a similar experience? I can't even play anymore because of the frame drops, the rubberbanding and the fact you have to shoot where a person was to kill them.   The latter I can deal with, but I get so frustrated having a plenty powerful machine to run the game and such bad performance. I have always ran the game maxed out on 1080p and nothing else has changed.

I have tried turning down settings to compensate for the fps drop but it literally doesn't effect it at all. And no it isn't throttling because I monitor my temps constantly as well as voltages, usages and fan speeds.

it's to make mantle look like a bigger improvement.....jk.

reinstall drivers?

Tried mutilple times, different versions doesn't even make a difference. The latest beta is actually the best it has been but it's far from good and far from the performance I had before. I just had it dip down to 35fps, just ridiculous. If I wanted those frame rates I would be playing on my laptop...

Sounds like you have something messed up running on your OS. The easiest way to rule OS issues out is to reformat. I highly suggest doing so. BF4 is only continuing to be more stable for me.

I'm having the same issues, fx 8320 with Gtx 570, 99% gpu usage, switched to dual 280x everything runs fine, reinstalled windows and battlefield and i'm having bottlenecks now. It's like luck of the draw when installing, either you'll get perfect gpu usage and no bottlenecks whatsoever or you'll get around 60-ish fps no matter how powerful system you have and how higher you crank up the details, you're gonna be sitting around that 60.

Fx-8320 Clocked@ 4.5Ghz, 2 * 4GB Corsair Vengeance Blue, 2 * Gigabyte rev1.0 R9 280x's, 2TB Seagate Drive, Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 rev4.0 mobo, Fractal design Define R4 with SP120 High Performance Edition In the Side Panel, Corsair AX 860i, Corsair K60 Reds, Razor DeathAdder.

It is not the os. The problem only lies with bf4, I have experienced no frame drops from when I first built the system aside from bf4. Not to mention I keep very good care of my system, I have had plenty of problems when I was younger not knowing what I was doing, has taught me a lot.

@Real_nimr0d_3 Thank god I am not the only one. I'm am thinking about reinstalling bf4 to see if that makes a difference. But 5 hour download time so guess I'll wait for night to do that.

Already did that, doesn't seem to help at all, but again it's luck of the draw, go ahead with it and maybe it works out for you. GL

Well it can't make it any worse. I wish I would have just kept my money and stuck with blacklight retribution. It's bad when a f2p game is better than a $60 AAA title by major developers.

Try reinstalling the directx file in the bf4 folder, it seems to get screwy for some people with every patch.
