Hi guys,

Can i check what you guys think of this build?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 3.5 GHz 16-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard:Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Formula ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory:Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory
Storage:Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Storage:Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card:Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB ROG Strix Gaming OC Video Card
Case:Corsair Crystal Series 680X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case PSU:Corsair AX 1000 W 80+ Titanium Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

  1. I was told that there might be some issues with dominator rams with 570 mobos
  2. Is it better to get MP600(concerned if the drive throttles without the heatsink), or 970 evo plus on raid 0
  3. EVGA 2080ti FTW a better card? (i know it has more headroom for oc) i might sli because the display is 4k 120hz.

Used primarily for gaming in 4k

Appreciate any input!

Cheers!

firstly, you don't need a 3950x for gaming. the motherboard you chose is aimed at custom loop water cooling. again for gaming you don't need the fastest drives. a standard nvme will be fast enough. 2x16gb ram is preferred over 2x8, it's easier to upgrade and ryzen can't run 4 sticks at their rated speed. sli only works with older games and a couple of the new ones. it's slowly losing it's usefulness.

Appreciate the time you took for this. Am a beginner builder so i wanted to see if i can move on to water cooling. Ram is spot on with my hesitations. fps framerates according to youtube seemed to improve with the nvlink (youtube) and wanted to max out the fps.
