Hello, I have a question, how do I select my SSD as transcoder folder on freenas?

My Plex plugin and jails are installed on a ssd on my freenas. I dont know how to select it as my Transcoder temporary directory.

Should I write /mnt/ssd/cache or /ssd/cache ?

Thank you!

Give the SSD its own mount point in FreeNAS. You can use ZFS and create a dataset e.g 'transcode', so then the ssd's path is /mnt/transcode

Then if Plex is running in a jail just go into the Plex Settings under Transcoder (you might need to select Advanced) you'll see a path for transcode directory. Make that /mnt/transcode (or whatever you called the dataset).

Of course if you just want it to be a folder on the SSD, then just name it something like SSD so the path is /mnt/ssd, then in that dataset create a transcode folder, and in Plex make it /mnt/ssd/transcode as an example.

If you run Plex in a VM then you'll need to create an SMB share and mount it that way.
