My R9 380 is appeaing as a 200 series in Folding at home

Currently using folding at home for both gpu and cpu but I have noticed my gpu is appearing in the advanced controller as a R9 200 series....

Even though my gpu is a R9 380.

Does anyone else have this and know a fix for it? 

As I believe it is actually making the work units take longer than they should.

R9 380 and 380X and R9 285 all have the same architecture and AMD is known for this odd reporting.  On my end my HD 7850's show up as R7 265's and my R7 260X shows up as a R7 260X - same architecture.  

 

When you benchmark the GPU is it behaving as it should?

The R7 260X isn’t related to the HD 7850/R7 265; it’s its own thing and is essentially an overclocked (and slightly beefed up? I don’t remember specifically) version of the late-model HD 7790. 

Otherwise yeah; AMD cards can be rather odd to show by a lot of software; my GPU is just generally referred to as an R9 Fury series by some software (I have a Fury X).

It does appear correctly in furmark and has an as expected score... however it does seem to take a long time to complete WU's for folding, like 8+ hours

I haven't folded before, but I do know AMD cards work better in Compute mode rather than Gaming mode for mining.  (twice the output)
