RAID / ACHI Driver Problem

Go to solution Solved by Random Bee,

UPDATE: Problem already solved.

What I did: Done another clean reformatting of drives and re-partitioning, activated both AHCI mode on all Sata 3Gbps and 6Gbps ports, and installed all motherboard drivers but the raid driver.

Good day everyone! I would just like to ask, if you know any solution to this problem of mine.

I recently re-formatted my system. Before this, I have an AHCI / Sata Driver and my 1TB Western Digital HDD works at optimal speed. But after the reformatting of my system, I noticed that my HDD isn't performing at optimized speed and having some hiccups, especially in loading games like AC: Odyssey and sometimes having longer loading screen time in GTA V.

I noticed that I haven't got any AHCI drivers installed. But whenever I'm installing from Intel's RAID driver, the prompt message says that my system does not meet the requirements.

ANY HELP? THANKS IN ADVANCE.

My system is:

Processor: i5-3550

Motherboard: Redfox H61H2-M7

@Jedi Berang that won't work, his board is from 2011.

I believe the RAID Controller is not from Intel. It's an ASMedia 1061R Controller.

After looking I've found a driver that might work: Link

The description lists Windows 10 64 bit as the latest supported version.

As far as the Intel onboard SATA controller, the newest driver I have found is hosted by DELL and it's from 2015. Supposedly for Windows 8.1 but usually those will work in Windows 10 as well.

Also check your bios and see if ahci is still activated.

Hope this helps

Thank you for your help and effort, Sir. I appreciate it greatly! :) Unfortunately, I still don't have that AHCI Sata Controller on my driver list. Man...

Try to install the AHCI driver, I've found a download from Gigabyte for the same Chipset that is supposed to work on Windows 8.1 64 bit. Here is the link

Still not supported as the message says. Could it be the OS? IDK. I have the updated Windows 10.
