I am building a new computer and was wondering if I could simply plug in my old SSD with windows and call it good? Or do I need to completely reinstall and activate windows for a new pc? Or is there something else I can do with my SSD with windows? Thanks for the suggestion!!!

Reinstall Windows, unless you're using the same motherboard.
