I'm currently in the middle of building a low-end integrated graphics system for a family member and decided to sell them some old hardware I have lying around. I decided on a Ryzen 3 2200g I've had since last year, still have the stock cooler with original thermal paste. As for the mobo, I went with a Gigabyte a320m-s2h that I've had for a while. I never got a chance to test it since I bought it but ended up going with a different board for that particular build anyway. I want to use these two parts in the build for my family member, but I don't know if this board is able to run the 2200g out of the box. There's a sticker on the Mobo box that says Ryzen 2000 ready, but I've had experiences where despite the board box having that sticker, it still didn't work with a 2600. I've also heard that the Ryzen 2000 APUs like the 2200g are actually Zen 1 parts, therefor they should work with any old board without the need of a bios update. Can anyone give insight? Thanks.

The second generation of Ryzen processors are all supported by the same BIOS version. A Ryzen 5 2600 would work without a BIOS update.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
