Hello, so I am very new to overclocking and I want some help.

I know you can't really overclock an i7-4770 non-K but I really want to get it to max turbo(3.9) or at least 3.7/3.8 when Gaming or doing something that needs the power.

I have an Asus H81-GAMER motherboard, 16GB ram DDR3 that I put at 1.25V and the i7, also I run it on stock cooler, but today I ordered another cooler that will come on like Tuesday/Wednesday. With the settings on Auto it runs at 80-85° max in games, but I would like it to run cooler but also at 3.7-3.9 if it's achieveable.

My PSU is a BeQuiet 500W 80+Gold unit PurePower 11 I think, almost forgot to say.

So in Bios I know about the voltage setting but I don't really understand the Offset and VCCIN and stuff like that.

Also, sometimes my PC just restarts, I mean it like powers off I think and then restarts.

If someone has the time please write me the settings I need to use in order to achieve my goals.

Much love ❤️

With this chip, you'll simply set the multiplier to 3.9ghz or 39x all cores.

You could increase BCLK but is not worth the risk to go over a couple mhz IE: 102 as you increase chances of Data corruption. This you play with at your own risk.

Another way to increase performance is by increasing the memory frequency. In example, running the XMP speeds the memory is capable of.

The restarting is a direct result of the processor temperature most likely. 85c is much too hot for that chip. 72c is the Tcase max temp for i7-4470/K.

Hope this helps, good luck.

So like this? Do I let the Core and Cache Voltage on Auto? Also do I let Min. and Max. Cache ratio on Auto? In the 3rd photo you can see my options for BCLK Frequency if that's the BCLK you're talking about, should I also let it on Auto? Also in the last picture you can see that X.M.P unfortunately doesn't work on my sticks of ram. They are UMAX something 2x8GB at 1600Mhz(they were at a bundle with the motherboard). Do you recommend changing them? Thanks for taking couple of minutes of your time to reply to my stupid ass. :)

Right, just enable XMP (cross fingers it works) and the rest looks good. Leave DRAM Ratio on auto.

In Prime95 after like 3-5 minutes it goes to 99-100° and before it throttles(I hope that's correct) the speed of the CPU is at a fixed 3.67, why it doesn't go to 3.9?

You're in need of better cooling. Don't keep running the Cpu hot like this, it'll die a short lived death.

Just wait for your cooler to arrive, then reevaluate the temps.
