GPU Usage in MSI Afterburner

I was running my GPU with MSI and I noticed that my usage percentage was fluctuating dramatically between ~10% and 90% constantly (see image). Is this normal? If not how can I fix this? Thanks!

Were you in game? Also usually that shouldn't happen my friend had a similar problem but with CPU so I am unsure.

if you've got Vsync on this is almost expected tbh. your GPU will only work as hard as it needs to after all, some scenes will take minimal effort, some will take more.

 

ultimately if it's not translating into problems playing stuff then what's the problem with it

Ah I see! I've been having some stuttering in game and have been trying to diagnose; I'm gonna have to keep looking now. Thank you!
