so i currently have a ps4 but would like to get into pc gaming. has anyone got any advice on building a pc equivalent of the ps4 that would be easy to upgrade to compete with further generations of console? Also how much would it all cost me, i'm new to this. Thanks :)

It's hard to compare that way. It depends more on your budget, how big of a screen you plan to be gaming on. There are so many options and games have different requirements.

Comparable to a PS4 in performance? Probably the cheapest PC you can buy. If you were hoping to go as low cost as possible and still retain a good upgrade path:

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
