Hello guys and girls,

i'm planning on upgrading my PC. My current build features:

CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1231 v3

GPU: Geforce GTX 970 (4GB) Asus Strix

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3 @1600Mhz

PSU: Beqiuet Pure Power 530Watt 80+ Bronze

Since I am rocking this build for 6 years now, I am planning on upgrading to get some more performance.

I don`t want to spent a huge amount of money on it, since i need a new car in the summer.

I only play games occasionally since I don't have too much time, and don't plan on Streaming etc.

I am planning on getting a Ryzen 5 3600 (maybe the x because it is on sale right now and only costs 10 Euros more)

MSI B450 Tomahawk

16 GB of Gskill Ripjaw 5 @3600Mhz

and an M.2 NVME SSD for the better System responisveness.

I want to keep my 970 to save some mone and upgrade that later this summer.

I know, that the upgrade isn't super necessary, since I dont game that often, but I am bit of a nerd and would just like a more snappier PC, since I feel the old one slowing down.

Would you guys recommend me to upgrade, or leave it for later? And would you Recommend the parts I've listed?

DO you think I also need a new PSU?

THank you for your help :)

Thank you very much :)

Especially for the tip wtih the b450 Tomahawk MAX. I knew that I would need a BIOS upgrade, but not that this one already has it.

But another question: Intel and AMD are surely goint to release new Hardware this summer. Would you recommend to wait with the upgrade?
