I was just minding my own business as usual when my main gaming keyboard just started completing spazzing out, from random letters being spammed and typed to the lights going insane.  I tried my backup keyboard, which somehow also became messed up and would type a ton of a single letter when that letter was pressed with no delay in-between.  I heard this was changeable in settings but resulted in no luck, and have resorted on typing on a membrane keyboard which seems to work properly.  What just happened?  I am beyond confused on how 2 keyboards would just randomly go out like that, even if one of them wasn't even plugged in.

It is also worth mentioning that nothing else in my PC got messed up, not the PC itself or the peripherals.  I tested out those same 2 keyboards on another PC and the keyboards still had the same issue.

Do you eat/snack while using your computer? You need an air spray to blow out crumbs and dust. It’s happened to me a few times.

I do, yeah, mainly at the time of this happening I was drinking a coke but it barely got spilt.  Even then, how would it mess up my other keyboard, which wasn't even plugged in at the time?

It’s just one possibility. Maybe when you moved the other keyboard the particles moved and lodged in somewhere.

Boot with a different OS and see if the keyboard issues remain. You can download any Linux distro and load it onto a USB drive; shouldn’t take long.

Nevermind, managed to fix this.  Still not sure how this happened to my keyboards though...
