So how do i explain this, recently ill be playing games on my computer and all of the sudden my pc will just start stuttering hard, freezing for a few seconds sometimes. This stuttering wont stop until i completely restart my computer which i have to do with the reset button on the case because it stutters so much that i cant open the windows menu . Its not the specific game im playing because it happens on any game and it totally locks up my whole computer not just the application im running at the time. Often now on start up i have to restart before even getting past the lock screen of windows. It also now has to repair the disk windows is installed on when i restart it (which did not happen when this problem first started occuring) so im wondering if the ssd is the problem. Please any help is appreciated.

Btw these are my specs:

Ryzen 7 3700x

geforce rtx 2080 super OC

corsair vengeance ddr4 3200mhz 32gb

asus prime x370-pro

sandisk ssd plus 120GB (windows is installed on this)

1tb hard drive and nvme ssd

gpu usually tops like 80 max but normally with the games im playing its at like 50 and id say my cpu sits around 60-70 depending on the game ill have to check their temps next time it happens but normally i cant even open task manager bc of the stuttering so hard to say the exact temps at the time it happens.

Check your device manager, make sure you don't have driver less PCI devices
Also make sure you have the latest BIOS on your last gen X370

i will check my drivers but i think they should all be set and i did updated my bios before getting the 3700x so that it would run on this mobo. My case is the Cougar MX330

Seems the case should have enough airflow.

70-85 is pretty hot. How do you cool your CPU?
I can get my 3700X at those temp after 3 cinebench runs (I got a 360 mm AIO)
