Mini itx Pc not posting

I recently built myself a mini itx gaming pc. I got an msi B450i mini itx AMD motherboard for it and along with that an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3rd gen processor. I figured the Bios was too old on the motherboard so I ordered an inexpensive gen 1 AMD Athlon 3000G processor to update the bios for my gen 3 processor but just like the gen 3 i still get no display, or post. Anyone have any ideas of what the problem may be?

What else do you have installed onto the board. Do you even have RAM installed?

Sorry, yes everything starts. All fans spin and i have ram installed a graphics card, all of it. There is a white light that glows on the motherboard which is the only light that i can see when I turn on the pc. I've talked to some friends about the pc and they have looked at it and they do not know what the problem is, everything is installed correctly and i have all the parts that i need.

The 3000G is a very recent Zen+ APU. You probably can't boot it without a BIOS update.

Looks like 7A40vA7 is required. This is a newer BIOS revision than is required for the Pinnacle Ridge (Zen+). The BIOS was released 2019-07-10, so if your board was made before that (and hasn't had an update) it will not boot the 3000G.
