Is there such thing as an IPS panel with Oled back-light, would this even make sense? I mean technically it's getting the best of both worlds and still saving battery and yet still maintains deep blacks.

For colour accuracy OLED panels like the iPhone 11 Pro and S20 are great. Cheaper ones often struggle.

No there is not.

In Plane Switching (IPS) is a specific type of LCD display which provides better colours and viewing angles, Generally at the cost of a small response time hit.

OLED and by extension AMOLED, Super AMOLED etc use individual micro LEDs to provide a picture and as such provide all the benefits of IPS alongside the reduced power usage and improved contrast.

but colour accuracy takes a hit (OLED), doesn't it?

A good quality OLED display does not have that issue, The colours on my Oneplus 6T are definitely better than my LG IPS display. - Especially in darker scenes where the improved contrast makes a big difference.

could this be possible where an IPS panel is used but an OLED backlight is used instead of a normal backlight, I can't seem to find any.

OLED doesn't have a backlight. Each pixel is its own light source. So, you'd essentially be running a white OLED panel as backlight. I'm not sure it's practical or financially logical. You could have a very granular local dimming tho. Not sure about thickness benefits either.

The display is one of Samsung's Super AMOLED panels, Assuming it's not taken out of the rejects pile it'll be fine.

Oneplus also uses Samsung panels.
