My current pc is not optimal to be upgraded as my motherboard is really old so i have found a good one called the asus rog strix b450-f which is a ddr4 atx motherboard with a am4 socket. However im not good when it comes to actual pc parts so can i get help on if a 1660ti and amd ryzen 5 3600x will be compatable with this motherboard and also help on a sensible priced and safe power supply? Thanks for your help in advanced!!

If you want a motherboard that's guaranteed compatible, any of the MAX motherboards from MSI are good to go. Tomahawk Max, gaming plus Max, B450-A Pro Max. The ASRock B450M/AC is also updated and ready to go.

If you were interested in PSU guidelines, you can check the PSU tier list to see some comparisons. I highly recommend tier B or higher.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

B450 MAX motherboards are guaranteed to be updated.

Corsair CX550 is a good budget choice.

Thanks Konrad and Fasauce can someone pls explain how i can find if the bios are updated i dont get all fasauce's stuff hes writing

So, MSI is a motherboard manufacturer. They sell all different kinds of motherboards like the tomahawk and the gaming pro. If you choose one of their motherboards that has the word MAX in the name, it will have an updated BIOS, making it usable with a Ryzen 5 3600.

Pcpartpicker doesn't know that the MAX boards are updated. You can ignore that warning.
