Choosing gaming computer parts...

I'm going to buy a new computer (mainly for gaming), I want it to be able to play BF4 on ultra with high a frame rate.

Please help.

Nope nope nope. WWWAAAYYYYYY overkill. For 1080p an FX-6300 and a GTX 760 would suffice, let alone a 780.

if you stay off siege of shanghai then yes, if you never want to go under 40 fps(like me) then 770(7970) at least at ultra. or 2xmsaa and with a 7870 xt or 760.

Same but do you stay over 40-45 fps all the time, minimum fps matters to me a lot.  My 7870 xt is great and all but if i completely max the game out then i can drop under 30 but that could be due to my i3 2120. Also put your resolution scaling to 200% and watch your fps drop to hell.

OK. Then he can wait and get a R9-280(no x). That WILL max it with 60+ FPS for certain especially with Mantle.

Let me be a little bit more clear, I NEVER want to drop under 30fps in battlefield 4 at ultra graphics

My 4670k at 4.5 Ghz and my GTX 760 at 1250 mHz does BF4 on Max settings like a boss. FPS varies by map from about a 55fps min to an 8- fps max. couldnt be more of a budget than that.

Lowest I ever saw with the card was in SKyrim with the Seasons of Skyrim ENB turned on in a heavy battle I saw 20. But all this does account for my resolution... Take away 5-10 frames to get about what 1080p would be. Thats still a 30-40FPS average which is still great.

The 760 will get to about 25 but that will be the lowest and that would be with 60 people in an online map. It will suit you just fine.

If you have normal prices for amd gpus, then you might pick one up.

 

Then get like 4670k, a z87 motherboard, cheapest 1600mhz cas9 2x4gb you can find, cpu cooler like macho, case that you want, i guess haf912 is cheap everywhere, xfx 550w, a r9 280x if you can for lower or same price as 770, 1tb hdd

You would be fine with a gtx 770, but hey, might as well have a somewhat future proof system.

Also, the kick ass water cooler is great if you want to do some decent overclocking.

thats a 280x/7970 at 2490kr(not sure how much but was the cheapest i could find.

 

Its a pretty awesome card(way better then mine*cries*). Im not sure but that seems like a good price, alternatively the first site has a 770 for 2700kr but i think the 280x is a better deal.
