Hello everyone, I am a new user here, I'm planning to do a gaming oriented build that can also handle video editing well.
I've done some research and looked over LOTS of parts, and I've decided something like this:

Case: CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 750D
MotherBoard: ASROCK FATAL1TY KILLER 990FX
CPU: AMD FX-8350 8-CORE PROCESSOR
CPU Cooler: CORSAIR H100I
GPU: AMD R9 290/AMD R9 290X
RAM: KINGSTON HYPERX BEAST CL9 2x8GB 1600MHz DDR3
PSU: CORSAIR CM750/RM750/AX760
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO 120GB
HDD: 2TB WESTERN DIGITAL

My main questions are: The differences between 3 corsair power supplies (CM750, RM750, AX760) and the advantages of R9 290X over R9 290.
Please have in mind that this is a budget build, so I don't have unlimited budget, but still want to have a high-end PC (this is mostly for the graphics card)
Is the R9 290X worth the extra money? Considering I really like Uber/Quiet modes as well as software controls.
Also, I chose 1600MHz RAM because I don't plan on overclocking the RAM, however, another 16 gigs will be added later (total 32GB 1600MHz RAM)

I appreciate any answers. Thanks in Advance

I live in Serbia, pretty much a third-world country. No Corsair or motherboard here.

I think this is a budget for a high end PC (I am not saving on the graphics card as you can see but Titan is still a bit too much)

Budget is somewhere around $2000. I will add stuff later (RAM and High-End Peripherals).
I could spend a little extra on a R9 290X.

Ah, gotcha. The build looks pretty good. I'll just take your word that you'll be able to get all those components in Serbia while being within budget. People generally advise getting the 290 over the 290X since they're so close in performance. I'm usually inclined to pick the GPU component last and just get the strongest card the budget allows for.

If you're completely satisfied with everything else in your build, then maybe get the 290X. However, I might recommend getting a 290 and using the extra money to get a larger SSD if you can. (I'm not too familiar with the prices you're dealing with, so it's hard for me to say).

Thanks for all the information. I have some contacts in Switzerland where I can get all parts with free shipping. So availability is solved.

I am very satisfied with my other components. I don't plan on replacing anything soon (Later i would replace a GPU, eventually a CPU/Motherboard if thats needed) But at least 2 years of work is what I expect.

My first choice was strictly 290. Performance is very similar. But it's hotter and louder. I like those uber/quiet features a lot. For example, I would put it on Uber when I'm playing a highly intensive game.

The price isn't all that much different. Also for other things it would be on quiet and with certain mods it doesn't require any other cooling.

In therms of SSD, I never had one. I should be impressed with the speed. I do think 120gigs is enough? I plan to install my system (haven't decided which one yet) and some major programs there. 120 should be fine.

Also, i see you are using Corsair 750watt power supply. Experience? I don't know which 750 Corsair power supply to get, there are 3 series...

The CM750 is Aurum branded and the other 2 are from Corsair? The RM series is silence oriented and has flat cables.

The 290x is an ever so slightly better version of the 290 and it's not worth paying more for.

Why so much ram...? I don't see any reason you'd need more than 16GB even for

120GB is fine for your os and programs.

some decent video editing.

16 is what I plan at least for around 2 years. 32 gigs come later as i want to keep this upgradable as possible.

16 is more than enough for now, and thanks i also think 120GB is a solid option.

It's not much in difference, but r9 290x has a bit more stream processors and especially uber/quiet mode (this is why i even consider it)

Thinking im not going to buy another GPU soon It makes sense to got with 290x just because 290 is hot enough and loud and quiet mode is very nice to have here.

Plus later i can get another GPU and CrossFire it or whatever, CPU i think will work for several years to come.

Also, is the AX760i from Corsair worth the extra money? It matches my red/black color scheme but it's double the price of CX750 so I'm curious. I can also save up and buy AX860i, Overkill i know, but for the future expansion

I don't see the need for 16GB in the first place. I quite highly doubt you'd need more than 16GB ram for gaming in the near future.

There really isn't that much difference between the 290x and 290. Just get the cheaper one.

I definitely wouldn't run 2 290's off of a cx750. That explains your typo earlier.. You'd want a great 750w or a decent 850w if you want to cf.

I've done a bit more research today, what do you think about AX860i?

I know it's double the price but it is fully modular, 80+ gold, high quality, should be way more silent, plus in matches my color scheme.

Also i think power supply is overkill now but that's basically the part I'm never going to change so its good to have a strong PSU. Opinion?

Depends on if there are better options available. You should really link us to where you'e shopping.

Personally I prefer the AX860 but either are two of the best psu available around 850W. I'm a proponent of getting a good quality right-size psu. Except in particular circumstances over sized psu are a waste of resources.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Multiple shops really...Prices very similar to the ones you see on PCPartPicker or so, reasonable pricing...Money isn't a problem that much everything left to decide right now are PSU and GPU

Well The ax860i is fine but you could bring up some cheaper alternatives to look at of there are any.
