I made a post yesterday night about my PC crashing randomly while playing AC Origins. I checked Windows event viewer and found the following errors:

1. Event 7000, Service Control Manager

details: The Previous Versions Library service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

2.Event 7000, Service Control Manager:

details: The CorsairGamingAudioConfig service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

3. Event 41, kernel-power

details: The CorsairGamingAudioConfig service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

4. Event 161, volmgr

details: Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation.

5. Event 6008, Eventlog

details: The previous system shutdown at 9:40:40 PM on ‎3/‎21/‎2020 was unexpected.

All of these keep repeating with different dates and times in the descriptions. Any ideas on how to proceed? I've been looking online and some people have said that Asus Aura software doesn't play nice with Corsair's iCUE. I have both installed but not running. I also don't own a Corsair headset. Why do I have Corsair audio drivers?

  • 2 weeks later...

I got the exact same Problem, thought it was my new Graphics Card (Vega 56) because it also made alot of errors and shutdowns, didnt had it before with my old one.
The only Help that i need to try this Weekend is to reinstall Windows with all Storages except the Windows one Disconnected and put them in after Windowsd and Updates are done. I had crashes sometimes a minute after Windows Start, ramdom in Photoshop/Lightroom or in the Witcher 3 which is the only game i play.

One was Bluescreen, one was the one you descripe and one was graphics card full fan load and no auto reboot.

Didnt find anything more. But i also Have iCue and DragonCenter (bad Ratings for Bugs online) still i also had shutdowns without iCue. I report when new Windows and Graphicscard without iCue are done.

Didnt find much more hints except errors due Driver parts somewhere or cancelling reboots while Windows update. Hopefully we get it done again.
