Maybe because it's tired.

In all seriousness, with the information you gave us it's impossible to even guess why.

What does it do/show before turning off? Is it a BSoD or just turns off? What was the load on the PC? Playing games? Idling? What are your PC specs?

I believe the issue might be your ram settings. I have purchased low spec ram in the past and overclocked to higher speeds. The symptoms you describe are the same I got. The 3 resets when setting the ram is the Bios not able to stabilize the ram. Once the ram is stabilized it will save the settings and then run after that. but if for any reason the ram becomes unstable when you start up it turns off again. There is a chance that you might need to adjust the timing on cas latency as well or set to an even lower frequency altogether. If 3000mhz works without the 3 resets, then setting it to 2800 or 2900 should prevent any further restarts when booting in the future.
