So I have been trying most of the popular Gaming Overlays lately, and it seems there is no all-in-one option out there.

  • GeForce Experience: Doesn't show CPU/GPU statistics.
  • RTSS: Have issues injecting into some games. For example, I could not run it on Destiny 2. Multiplayers games anti-cheat systems might flag it as a hack. It also doesn't support streaming.
  • Windows 10 Game Bar: Only shows CPU/GPU usage. Streaming is limited only to Mixer. Recent update added a widget store which already comes with XSplit Game Bar HUD.

So my question is, is there an all-in-one Gaming Overlay Software which provides these options:

  • Hardware Monitoring:
    • CPU/GPU: Usage - Temp - Fan speed
    • Memory: Usage
  • Software Monitoring:
    • FPS
  • Video Capture:
    • Record at will.
    • Record the last x minutes.
    • Decent controls on quality.
  • Streaming:
    • On Mixer, YouTube Gaming, Facebook and Twitch

Note: In my case, I am using nVidia Geforce 1080. So the overlay should support nVidia graphics cards. But mentioning AMD counterparts is not off-topic in anyway.

Just in case, this is my current setup if anyone is interested in plan B (For team Green):

  • MSI AfterBurner: For overclocking ofc. Disable all the monitoring options.
  • HWiNFO: For Hardware Monitoring. It supports RTSS and can output sensor data to it's OSD. (We called it Gaming Overlay in this topic.)
  • RTSS: For providing the Gaming Overlay.
  • nVidia Geforce Experience: For recording and streaming.

It takes a little bit of configuration but all the options are there.

  • 3 weeks later...

UPDATE: Apparently, Microsoft Windows 10 Game Bar is getting a Widget Development Kit and already have Razer Cortex and XSplit Game Bar HUD onboard. Which is good news. But it still have a bit more work to do.

So that (XSplit Game Bar HUD) enables Game Bar to stream to all the major streaming platforms. +1 there.
