Some Help With a Build

I'm planning to build a new PC in the near future, my budget is around $1200-1300 but it can be flexible if there are any serious performance gains to be had with a little more investment. It'll mainly be used for gaming, photo/video editing, and likely some VR in the future, but my hardware knowledge is pretty out of date since I haven't build a PC since 2011 so I haven't come to any real decisions other than I'd prefer an NVIDIA GPU.

The budget is for the PC itself and nothing else, I already have the peripherals. If anyone could recommend a build or send me where I should be looking, it'd be appreciated.
