Hey, I have a friend who wanted more performance out of his PC. He had an i7 870 and a Gigabyte 460. I recommended an RX570 ITX to him and he bought one. He has installed it correctly, it is getting power from his PSU but he isn't getting a video output. The 870 doesn't have integrated graphics either, so we can't easily exit to the desktop. I've never dealt with this problem before, so some help would be greatly appreciated. My guess would be that we have to install his old GPU and disable something in the settings perhaps, but i'm not sure to be honest... I would like this to be solved soon though because I don't want him blaming me for this or something lol.

The RX 570 can operate with either the full 6+2 pin connector or just 6 pins, I would see if that somehow makes a difference.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

The ITX variant from Sapphire only uses a 6 pin

I would try the new GPU in your system to test (assuming you have a PC)

That GPU might be UEFI-only. That CPU is probably on a MB without UEFI. UEFI mode might not be available on first generation core-series chipsets.
