Coming from my PC i hear a loud hum/buzz. I unplugged both my fractal fans and its clear that the noctua fans on my h100i are making the sound. What would be a good RPM for to slow them down to in the BIOS for maximum preformance but as quiet as possible?

600 (40%)  Honestly, anything above 40% on nf-f12's is audible, sorta annoying imo.

Tell me about it haha

I replaced my nf-f12s with gentle typhoons when I finished my custom loop, I love em xD

nf-f12's perform better by ~3 degrees in my rig, but 3 degrees compared to complete silence is ok with me xD

I really think they're over-rated and over-recommended, they're nowhere near as quiet as people say they are.

I mean they are not bad by any means but you cannot find typhoons anywhere nowadays. Also I turned my RPM to 600 on Chassis fan 1,2, and 3 but I still hear the hum. Maybe Im doing something wrong?

I own NF-F12's and they are currently not in use for this reason. Not silent at all.

I put them on silent mode and they still sound the same. Its not that the sound bothers me its just I sit right next to my computer (I mean RIGHT next to it) and Ill be moving and having my PC on a separate desk so when that happens itll be ok

Had them as case fans in my define r4 but I am now using the 2 stock fans that came with the case. Much quieter

What do you put in your rad?

Yeah I sit like 3 feet away, and at night I always leave my rig on because of my ts3+ minecraft server I run off it.   Having the nf-f12's in it before I could always here that "buzzing humm" noise of them.  :/

The only thing I hear now is my HDD buzzing, I really wanna replace it :/

Im not a silence freak I was just kinda curious. I can easily live with this though. Not like it drags down preformance of my awesome build (Not compared to yours lays :P

lol thx :D The only issue I have right now with it is everything isn't color coordinated :( my mobo is red/black but I did a blue/white/black build because I can't stand red/black builds since EVERYONE does it. (i know first world problems right)

And my psu's fan is broken, it rattles like crazy when it spins :(.

Hoping to fix everything soon and get pci-e covers for the red parts of my board. Then my OCD will be fixed lol

I don't really play mc that much, it's mainly for my buddies. We were into feed the beast for awhile, and I was the only one who could host it so I figured I'd just leave it up 24/7. I do play an ass-ton of league of legends though, a bit overkill LOL.

Since I got my 1440p monitor I've been playing more crysis 3 , and some other stuff lately though :3

Man if I had your Rig and my PSU rattled, I wouldnt give a shit because that is one hell of a rig! My rig is pretty nice for what I use it for and Im happy with it though I havent gotten much feedback on it.
