I'm having some problems installing a Radeon HD 5450 GPU. I've recently changed computers to a model with windows 8 and a little more ram (a much needed upgrade) and just want to transfer my 5450 form my old computer to my new one. However, Whenever I visit AMD's website to download drivers for it, I can't find the correct ones. The card came with a driver disk, but won't work unless the card is installed so it knows which drivers to download.  The problem is whenever I install the card into the computer, it defaults the Radeon as my default GPU and displays nothing form the computers display ports.  Plugging my monitors into the Radeon does nothing either, presumably because no Drivers are installed.  If anyone knows a work around to this I would be much appreciated.

If you plug your monitor into your motherboard then boot up the computer it will use that as the default display?

only if the radeon isn't installed. once the radeon goes in, I get nothing.

Assuming you're on windows 7 64bit here is the drivers. Though I'm not sure they will install without the card in and it doesn't make any sense why it wont use your onboard graphics if you have the monitor plugged in :/

Go here if not on windows 7.
