BIOS update not working

Hello all, im trying to update my BIOS but every time I try it fails showing

**error** unable to initialise smbios library

I have the bios update on a FAT-32 usb drive

My motherboard is a intel s5500bc server board

Any ideas would be appreciated. Any more information required just ask.

Little bit of Googling yields a reddit thread with someone having the same problem. Try updating the BIOS to not quite the latest version. There's also some mention of updating the BMC if it will let you.

I was just looking at that thread. Already tried an earlier version of the BIOS so il try the BMC
