Are you just trying to get pictures or videos off of it? I am not sure about MacOS, but Windows can read the sd card just using the default file explorer.

Was going to put a upgrade image to androidtv on it, to upgrade 1 the OTA update tool won't work on the android tv.

It depends on what the file system is, but I think you should be able to just read it normally.

Depends some devices format it differently. Ive seen f2fs, etx4, and I think fat.

If you accessing it through a USB cord to your phone, you should be able to see it on any OS assuming you have your devices drivers installed.

If your just trying to use the sd card itself and your phone hasn't encrypted it, then windows should be able to read it if it's fat, otherwise linux should be able to read it. You may need to install f2fs-tools.

You should however be able to format the sd card on your pc and insert it into your android device just fine however. if fat doesn't work, ext4 should.
