Hi,

A few weeks back I installed the latest AMD Adrenalin 20.2.2 driver. Most things seems fine except for the fact that when I check the "performance" tab in Adrenalin, it has set my cards max boost clock to 2095mhz.

According to Sapphire my 5700XT Pulse have a stock boost clock of 1925mhz.

My card actually does boost up to around 2050mhz for short bursts during gameplay which is pretty neat on my current undervolt at 1130mv. Stock voltage is ofc 1200mv.

However, this would all be janky-dandy-doodle if only it didn't make my whole system sound like a swarm of bees due to the increase in fanspeed. I am also running with junctiontemps of 90+ C (sometimes 101c) which I don't like.

Does the new driver automatically set the max boost frequency to 2095mhz when enabling the advanced tuning settings or is this a bug?

If this is the "default" max frequency when enabling the tuning options I will set it to slightly below 2ghz and work my way down to 1925 if needed, which I hope will lower my temps and noiselevels quite alot.

I havn't run into any throttling or unstability though. As I said, it's the temps and noise that bothers me.

I am also irritated by the fact that the numbers you put in sometimes is incresed by 1 unit.

For example: I can set a fancurve or frequency value of 1100. For some reason the program sets it 1101 when pressing enter. Does anyone know why?

And one last question. Is Adrenalin 2020 to be trusted when monitoring temps and clocks or should I instead look in HW-Info or GPU Z?
