My 720p Emerson from 2012 broke and I'm LOST

Zcmccain1995

I bought my TV 8 yrs ago and things have changed so much in TV tech since then. I have an xbox one x and play a fair bit but I dont really do it that much any more, I mainly use it for Netflix or YouTube. I feel like I know a good bit about tech, but I'm lost when it comes to TVs. Im kinda leaning toward a 4k just because they arent too expensive now-a-days and a nice upgrade from 720p. I was curious tho, what should I look for in a TV for gaming? And should I really even overthink things like I am if I've been on a 720p display for the past 8 years or will pretty much everything look way better to me?

My kids just popped my other 4k TV, so in the interim I put out my 720p TV while the now in my living room 4k TV was being delivered from Amazon.  There is an immense, intense difference between 4k and 720p.  There is a huge difference between a 4k panel and a great 4k panel.  Im not one of those guys who spends a TON on TV's (kids are little) so I don't know much about the better panels.  But the panel I have in the living room now is better than the other 4k TV I had.  Its obvious.

Basically you are about to experience the difference between a 5400 RPM HDD and putting in your first SSD.  Changasm.
