XPS 12 display dots.

Pandora

i recently acquired an old xps 12 from a friend and so far its been a really comfortable travel laptop. only problem is that its display has 2 major issues. severe image persistence, which i can deal with, and these little black dots all over the screen. they are under the glass and not super visible from a distance but they make every picture, ever web page and most experiences just look bad. at first i assumed they were dead pixels until i noticed they weren't perfectly aligned in the grid. i put the display under my microscope and found this. i have no idea what to make of it. its almost like dust under the glass but i cant seem to move any of them.

i was wondering if any of you guys had experience with something like this
