Hey there, recently built my new system with a Corsair H100i and an I7 4770k.

I've been playing some battlefield 4 and monitoring temperatures but I'm not sure what my CPU temp should be considering I'm using a h100i.

When I'm playing BF4 I get between 56-61C. is this normal? Thanks.

It is pretty cool. A CPU can be as high as 100C.

Yes. BF4 is pretty CPU hungry.

That can happen if your case is not so well ventilated. I would suggest checking your voltages if your motherboard has set them too high in the bios. Those temperatures are nothing to worry about, but they could be lower with that cooler. So check if you have time but otherwise...It is not necessary. :)

EDIT: I currently have my 4670k @ 4ghz and it almost never goes above 50c with Noctua NH-D14 which is ABOUT the same performance as h100i (not quite but close enough) And i believe my cpu generates about as much heat as yours when not OC'ed

4670K doesn't have Hyperthreading, which is the major cause of heat in i7s.

When HT is turned off, 4770K's temperature goes down to similar levels to 4670K.

Okay fair enough :) But maybe my small overclock makes the difference a LITTLE bit smaller :D

Yeah, that too.

Is there any reason why you are not pushing your CPU further?

I'm pretty most can hit a lot higher than that.

Well... At the moment i do not need more with this gpu and it is just nice to have the cpu at stock voltages (not auto ofc) Someday i will try how far does this go :)
