Front LCD panel?

Recently i have been using my pc alot to watch tv series on dvd. I have found myself wanting a lcd display like on dedicated dvd playes that tell you how far into the movie/etc you are. Is there anything available like that for a pc? perfhaps something you put in the 3.5" or 5.25" bay?

The program you use to play the DVD should have a built in progress bar that tells you how far through your content you are. There's no need for.such a product to exist.

Agreed, that would be the most wasteful thing one could buy and the most nonsensical thing a company could make.
