Hello, for awhile I had 2133mhz ram and just recently overclocked it to 3066mhz and got some good gains which made me want to buy even better ram. So today i got some G.Skill trident Z neos(2x8 3600mhz) and plugged them into the 2 and 4 slot which are my optimal slots, and I went into bios straight away and saw that my RAM was set to 2133mhz, so I set it to the 3600mhz speed and exited bios. I was testing frames on battlefield 1 and everything seemed to be going fine and then I got a blue screen, I restarted my computer and logged in again and without doing anything i blue screened again, so I read up and decided to update my bios, that went without a hitch and havent blue screened so far, but now when I try to play Rainbow six siege, my game crashes within minutes of playing (3 times each averaging around 5 mins). So I read some more, downloaded CPU-Z, turned on xmp and confirmed that my xmp numbers that were in CPU-Z were the same in bios. My CPU isnt and cant be overclocked. My CPU is Intel-i5 8500. motherboard is MSI Z370-A PRO, which on the box its states its capable of 4000+ mhz. I checked before hand that this RAM is compatible with my motherboard. I'm fresh out of idea's and if anyone can help i would much appreciate it.

So are you just using the two new RAM sticks or all four? If you lower the overclock, do the bluescreens go away?

I am just using the new 2x8 G.Skill for a total of 16gigs in the system. I dont get blue screens ever since I updated the bios. So far its just siege consistently crashing. I was just playing Battlefront 2 for about an hour to an hour and a half on ultra settings, 200% resolution scale, 1080p. So basically maxed out, and i was getting consistent and smooth gameplay, I dont know why but so far it seems like it only crashes for siege. It is crashing in the same way when I was trying to find the limit of my old ram, it was oc'd to 3200mhz and the game would play for a little and then the game would just close. Just like now, it(3600mhz Gskill RAM) will play for a little and then crash, and it takes me back to the desktop, so far only for siege.

The CPU's memory controller officially supports up to 2666 MHz, so that might be the reason why it isn't stable in all cases if you overclock your RAM to more than that.
