GT710 or GT730

Hi,

 

Buying a first gaming pc for my 9yr old, i5, 8GB, 1TB, Windows 10. It's only really for Fortnite, Roblox and Minecraft and the likes so is a GT710/GT730 sufficient??

Get him a used Optiplex with an i5 and throw in an RX 560 or something. Should spend well below $500 even if you toss in an SSD.

depending on the i5 you're getting, the integrated GPU on that thing could be faster than a Gt 730. That card is not capable of delivering a playable gaming experience. There are graphic cards for around $50 on the used market that would offer a significantly better experience

gt730 is worse than some integrated solutions, so avoid.

It depends on what is available in your area.

Used Nvidia cards:
600 series: 660 or higher
700 series: 760 or higher
900 series: 950 or higher
10 series:  1050 or higher


AMD cards:
200 series: 265 or higher
300 series: 370 or higher
400 series: 460 or higher
500 series: 560 or higher

there is also Hd 7800 and 7900 

 

 

or if you are looking new, then there is allways APU systems.

a 3400G with fast RAM is comparable to 750 Ti, how about get that instead? you can always add a powerful GPU later.
