Hello not sure if this is right place to post please move if it’s not or there is a better place to post it, 

but I am currently trying to find a way to have my computer in a separate room as my computer, I am looking for a cable or something to let me have my screen about 40ft away from my tower.

You could do something like Linus in this video where he uses a thunderbolt hub and a fibreoptic thunderbolt cable to connect everything to the PC even if it's in anotner room.

If you can find a hub that can push your display (shouldn't be that difficult) you will be fine.
