minecraft Minecraft Server hosting help

Hello, i'm trying to host a RlCraft  Modded Server on minecraft for me and my cousin. I have downloaded everything and have successfully launched/played the server by myself, but with great lag. I go to by .bat file and try to edit the -xmx and -xms values to all kinds of ammounts ranging from 1024M to 8024M... none work. The last one i ran was (@ECHO OFF java -Xms2024M -Xmx2024M -jar server.jar nogui pause), but when i return to launch my server it says "Error occurred during initialization of VM - Could not reserve enough space for 2072576KB object heap - Press any key to continue . . ." the server will only run with 1024M in the values, anything else it crashes or will give me another random error code. I use an alienware 17 R5 with 16gb of ram... any help with be appreciated!
