Hi guys, my friend is having issues with his internet whenever his sister connects wifi with her phone his internet on his pc fucks up what would you reccomend him?

Well what kinda of issues is he getting? Does he get kicked off completely? Does Windows tell him of an IP address conflict?

his connection slows down A LOT

Is your friend using wireless N whereas the phone is using wireless G? Check the rates the PC is connecting at in the Wireless Connection Properties before and after.

What model is his router? Listed on a sticker on the bottom of the unit. That will give us some context as to whether it's time for an upgrade. Also, does it ONLY happen when his sisters phone connects? If so, what phone does she have?

Definitely recommended. That or a Time Machine.

The ASUS RT-N66U or RT-AC66U are my personal favorites, along the Netgear's R6300. Friends up here have the R6300, and I'm really close to getting the RT-AC66U, both models recommended for their stability under heavy load.
