Ram Issue?

Go to solution Solved by Jurrunio,

Strictly speaking it's not 3200MHz, but 3200MT/s (megatransfers per second). The actual operating frequency is 1600MHz, but it sends data twice per cycle so you get the doubled transfer rate. This is what going from SDR memory to DDR memory gave.

Hi all.

So I just bought a new ram kit of 32gb and ment to be speed 3200, and my bios shows this, but cpuz and task manager show 1600? People on other forums say its a halfing thing and its correct but I want to make sure. Can anyone confirm this or tell me whats wrong?
